Not sure is it would be appreciated here, its been hardtailed and is far from stock. I've gotten the impression that this forum is primarily restoration folk.

None the less I do love Brit bikes in any configuration.

How about my old Norton, from back in the early 70s ?

I reckon you could be surprised tanknj - lot of us like all bikes, no matter what. Might prefer them some ways to others, but bikes are bikes, they're all great and there's room for all . . . original, modified, smart, oily, it's just personal taste (and sometimes a matter of $$$ as well). Norton's nice too (from what I can see of it in the old pic). Good luck! Groily

Tanknj,

sorry that isn't working out. In the U.S. here are some other suppliers I would ask:

www.countrysidecycle.com
www.classicycleworks.com (where my engine is right now)
www.britcycle.com
www.britishonly.com (I hope they are still in business. This evening, their web site was dead.)
www.wesscottcycles.com (built my wheels, quite nicely, thank you)
www.motopartsinc.com (they're listing your part with a price, while they show no prices for parts they apparently don't have)

In the UK:

www.srm-engineering.com (almost a certainty, but around $40)
www.leighclassics.com (stop in there when next in southeast England; friendly, helpful and a great supply of parts on the store shelves)

Among these, I am 99 and 44/100% certain you can find your part.

Thanks Richard. I've used a few of them over the years...SRM for a 12v dynamo conversion (pricey) I think BritOnly had a $150 min order for a while, sorry to hear they've taken it down yet another notch.

I've got feelers out and I'll track down one of those critters yet !
