I bought my A10 as a bit of an introduction on old British iron and really enjoyed the bike.
Did a bit of fettleing to get it to run propper and last week I had a fella who offerd to buy mine for a price I couldnt refuse to let it go for.
So this fella turns up at my door yesterday and I load it up on his trailer and he gave me a big wad of cash.
Unfortunatly, he just wants it for nostalgia reasons and mumbled something about having it on display with his personal collection. Have to say i`m a bit gutted that its just going to be stood around instead of being used. Such a shame.
Anyway, I got hold of an original Rickman Mettise Mk.III with a BSA A65 converted engine with a 750 big bore kit and twin mikuni carbs. Apparently the only road going Mettise over here so i`m well chuffed. Not for the purists though with blacked out engine and wheels but I think it looks pretty tough.
Can you fella`s direct me to forum for A65`s please?

G'day Manx71.
Yes it's a shame it won't be out on the road but at least it won't be broken up for parts.
I like the new bike, would be great on my clubs dirt rides.
I don't think there's a specific A65 forum. try the http://www.britbike.com/forums/ubbthreads.php
Cheers

Thanks, I`ll try there.
We have a lot of gravel roads here, so I think its going to be a fun bike.
I do however prefer the look of a pre-unit motor but a unit may be slightly easier to clean?
Unlike my A10 this thing has brakes that work and Rickman still make the bodywork for these if it gets dropped.
Havn`t seen it in the flesh yet. Pick it up this week.

What's an A65?
-
Evolution (sort of!).
-
Actually devolution, I think.
The big upgrade for an A65 lightning is to convert it to use a A10 crankshaft :p

That looks great.
