Got mine today. Very good quality, very pleased.

Out & about today, at the Kalgoorlie / Boulder Toy Run.
Proudly wearing the shirt; me beside some of my bikes.
Richard
-
Well done for flying the forum flag!
-
nice collection of bike - well done
-
Bill,
Not the first time you've seen Richard's collection, is it? Besides envying the collection (in a harmless 12,000 miles away fashion), I also envy the difference between the weight of an A10 and the weight of the rider.
Richard L.

I also envy the difference between the weight of an A10 and the weight of the rider.
I know what you mean, and although I have lost a bit of weight recently I'm still a couple of stone heavier than when I had my original Flash, funny thing is I could throw the thing around when I was 10 and a half stone, I struggle now at 12 and a half, I was 6 ft then as well and now 5'9" how did that happen.
Seems like muscle mass, memory cells and vertebrae are all packing their bags
-
Got myself one of each colour for Xmas, very happy.
-
The mention of the All British Rally down under got me thinking this would be a good time to let newbies know about forum t-shirts, also, reminding oldbies (?) at the same time. Too late for the noted rally if you don't have yours yet.
Please know that no forum member (and maybe not the manufacturer) profits from the sale of forum t-shirts. A very small part of the sale price is contributed to forum support.
Richard L.
-
I'll be wearing mine during the summer BSAOC camps. If the weather is kind you may even see the tee shirt!

For the attention of new members from Jan 17 onwards
Hi all , I had intended to message new members but of course not all have email and couldn't find a way to do a block personnel message so please read this, ( the boys had been thinking of dicontnueing this line due to lack of orders )
A short message to new members who may wish to purchase a forum Tee shirt, they can be purchased here

Will they be able to keep the screen or whatever it is they use in case of further orders?
-
I think that's what they do GB, initial plan was to do a print run once a month but seems orders have dried up a bit

Perhaps a few more people will see this thread and decide they'd like a forum Tee-shirt!
The original idea was so that forum members can recognise each other at bike gatherings.
-
I kept thinking about it than forgetting about it.
Now I finally got the job done, and can proudly sport my new T-shirt once it gets here.

Quite a flurry of new members of late so a timely reminder

spoke to Paul this evening he informs me that 80% of orders via bank transfer fail, possible banks being very careful in these dishonest days, so if you've ordered a Tee via bank transfer and it hasn't arrived it's because RP have not had the cash transferred to their bank, they would be only to happy to send your Tee so maybe try another method, paypal or similar, not got an account perhaps you know a trusty friend who has.

I hope that Reckless Productions can/will still make forum t-shirts. To be completely clear, though I played a part in creating the graphics, neither myself nor any other forum member gets any financial benefit from the sale of t-shirts. What we all get is a sense of belonging to something special, this "forum," which is more club than forum because of our friendly attitudes and friendships made. So, I'm asking, if you haven't bought a t-shirt yet, please do, so that we can recognize each other at meets, pose in pictures "wearing the colors," show A7/A10 pride and, not insignificantly, keep Reckless interested enough to continue being our supplier.
http://recklesspromotions.uk/product-category/bsaforum/
Best regards,
Richard L.
-
I'm going to add one more benefit to buying a shirt (other than you'll look better in it than in your other t-shirts, which you will). By promoting the marque and showing that there is a significant support group behind it (988 members today), the value of our bikes might be improved.
Richard L.
-
Thanks for the reminder, Richard. Have been *sleepy* and did not order some until today. Should have been one of the first to buy, but time has been passing so fast. Looking forward to receiving them.
-
I've only just read about it, so thanks for bringing it to the fore. Just placed my order - a sylph-like ;) XL.
-
Just ordered mine, also an XL, should stretch over my tiny body!!! If you see me in it, say hello. I’ll post pic of me modelling it soon as it arrives 🙈
-
So far, a very nice response. You guys won't regret it.
Now, how about everyone else? (I know, I'm dreamin'.)
Richard L.
-
Well done Richard, I kind of watch for a batch of new members and than give the tees a mention *wink2*
-
Mine was delivered today and I thought I'd say how pleased I am with it. Apart from the lovely gold grahics it's a superior quality t-shirt. Far better by a long way than t-shirts normally available.

Ooh, an unsolicited testimonial!
The Tee-shirt was my idea. RichardL was the designer. I wanted to be able to recognise you lot when I'm on a bike do. So wear the flippin thing!

Fantastic service, well chuffed 😃
-
*smile* Got mine (3x xl) monday, excellent.
-
Wasn't Bill involved as well GB?
Yep and still so, spoke with Paul of Reckless Promotions today, he apologises to the member who attempted to buy a Tee but could not get to order it, the website was down for a few days, now up and running again so whoever you are (sorry didn't get your name) the sire is ready now.

29 New members since this topic was updated. I thought of it because I just donned my hot-weather (white) version today for the first time this year. Newbies, so you know, no profit to any forum member, just a form of camaraderie. Please browse around the posts in this topic, especially the first post on the first page for pictures and ordering info.

Hay Bill.
Any chance of a small run of sloppy joes? It's winter down here, a chilly 10C. Also T's with the logo on the back (the side of me most people see (for a short while)). *whistle*
Cheers
-
Any chance of a small run of sloppy joes?
Hi Muskie - spoke to Paul this afternoon, says no problem, could print back and front if they can get "Sloppy Joes" whatever the are, so A phot of a sloppy Joe would be good - so far we got that it's a Burger.
I presume it would be same system as now - not a run as such
-
Maybe you want one of these Sloppy Joes? http://www.sloppyjoe.co.uk/ Anyway, I believe Musky is referring to a sweatshirt.
Richard L.
-
G'day Bill.
Richard got it. https://tinyurl.com/ycn45pdy That sort of thing, black with print both sides.
Cheers
-
I would be interested in one of those as at Banbury, it was not teashirt weather and so my teashirt was hidden under a sweatshirt.
-
Maybe you want one of these Sloppy Joes?
Well I feel fine Richard but getting inside one of those might just see me burdening the Health service for a good while *smile* *smile*

I would rather have a round neck that a v neck.

edit: V necks are easier to get on over glasses.

Just had this back from Paul
"See attached....this is the equivalent made by the supplier we know and trust, let us know what the guys think? We hold the hooded version in stock but we would have to buy these in specially, we order once a week for next day delivery so the orders placed for them mite take a little longer than printing items we hold in stock, but supplying and printing them is not a problem.
Usually when printing on a garment like this with a back print your would have a large back print and a small chest logo on the front! The forum logo would not reduce down due to the detail but if they preferred a small chest logo we could come up with something next week, saying that if the guys wanted big logo front and back no problem just not what people are used to seeing! I'm sure it will still look ok.
Let use know thoughts and we can put them up on the website, not sure of costs at this time, we will have to keep the cost down as much as is acceptable as the postage for a bulky item like these can be as much as £9.50 to Oz, I will double check all this but just wonder what the overseas guys would find acceptable to pay including the ridiculous postage price!"
-
G'day Bill.
Postage isn't too bad. I'd prefer something a little heavier 280gsm is a bit light. I was thinking around the 320-340gsm mark. Large print back and front would do me but see what others think. My next question is can the print be done in a brighter colour like yellow?
Cheers
-
can the print be done in a brighter colour like yellow?
would assume as a single colour that would not be a problem, but I'll wait for some more replies and send them to Paul or asking him to look
(got to respect your bike knowledge and now also knitwear *eek* )
-
Thanks mate. Jack of all trades, master of a few.
Cheers

Hello to all.
As a newcomer, exploring the various boards, I found reference to a finely crafted T Shirt, bearing a handy cutaway diagram. Checking the order link, I found the supplier has roughly 80 available in each size S to XXL. This seems a big investment for somebody. Are they still available? I only found this by accident...I reckon it should appear on the main title page. I am sure quite a few would be sold if promoted a little more actively. Viewing the posts relating to it indicates a lot of effort went into the design and production. I hope they do not have to resort to the Burberry Stock Control Method.
Keep Spannering, Swarfy.
-
Whoops What I meant to ask is that ordering link still live? Or are the stock figures from a while ago.? Swarfy.
-
Swarfy,
The promotion of the T-Shirt is in the form of a sticky topic under the "Chat, Off-Topic and Diverse" board. Here is the link you would find there and I believe it is still active:
https://www.a7a10.net/forum/index.php?topic=11151.0
There is another link on that board that was used for our communications while coming up with the final design.
I predict BSA-Bill will post before I finish typing here, nevertheless, I'll share that the t-shirt supplier has family connection with the forum. I think he is graciously keeping the flag flying for our benefit. I do wish more folks would purchase the T-Shirts, considering the efforts of a few people here that went into them ( *whistle* *smile* ), not to mention the camaraderie possible if you stumble on a fellow member at meet.
Richard L.
-
Hi Richard. Thanks, that was how I stumbled upon it. I am sure a lot of folks do not know they exist. That is why promoting it with a reminder on the main Title Page could be the way to go.
Be interesting to see how this topic is followed...... Swarfy.

Looking at the Sloppy Joe pic - is it the garment or the person? Wouldn't mind the latter.
As for Bill worrying about being 12 1/2 stone. I'm not a lardy nor do I have a beer gut, but jeez .... if I got down to that no-one would recognise me. And I probably couldn't start my bikes. I'm a tad over 16.
-
As for Bill worrying about being 12 1/2 stone.
Was that me or another Bill, well I did get down there, a month or so ago, gone up a Kilo or two since but the better half is on Slimming World stuff so I could be getting harder to see again, no to worry tho, been to get scanned today, injected with a radio-isotobe, wait three hours and then a scan, so might be difficult to see me in daylight but I'll glow in the dark *eek*
Now Tees, yes sites still live, they might well wait for a number of orders before starting a run , I think originally they planned to print and post monthly but as Richard has said numbers were not as forthcoming as had been hoped, but the screen are there so ....
Yes I must fes up to not mentioning the Tees more often, a few non bike related issues have taken my time over the last 18 months, no excuse really just takes your eye of the ball at times.
Also in regard to the sloppy Joe's , Paul did mention something in regard to the weight (not being measured as people assume) .
Anyhow nice that your interested, would suggest you leave a message on the sites, if that don't work get back to me and I'll send mail to Paul or speak with him next time I see him.
He's embroiled with his dad (my brother) trying to fettle a 350 Goldie my brother has bought after drooling for a decade or so, currently it stars fine but dies once warm on a run when throttle is opened, I know nowt about GP carbs so can't help much
-
G'day Bill.
Just had a look at the web page. It says over 90 of each size in stock. Will be ordering another two Tee's but would still like a "sweatshirt" printed large both sides. Wouldn't mind paying extra for a special order.
Cheers
-
Hi Muskrat - following message from Paul
"Ye we can do something for him, tell him to order his T's and we'll work something out, I'll have his email if he orders, I can then message him regarding the sweatshirt :)
And also when he orders get him to add a note so I know he's muskrat."
Cheers Bill
-
Thanks Bill. I'll email an order today.
Cheers
-
Hi Bill
Sorry I know its hassle for them to do these one off Sweatshirts but I would like two as well if possible.
Angus
-
Ordered and paid for 2 Tee's, just waiting on email for price to pay for a sweatshirt .
Angus, email Paul to request a swatshirt as he will be doing one for me. https://recklesspromotions.uk/contact/

Hi Angus - I'll post your request to Paul, as with Muskrat please leave a note on the site

G'day Fellas.
If any of you want a sweatshirt ORDER NOW. Paul is ordering the sweatshirts and should have'em done by weeks end.

Ordered 2 with Note. Then I can be seen as a forum Member in the UK like Stafford last weekend too cold for a teashirt

little update from Paul

decided as winter is in the offing to order a sweatshirt while Paul was doing two anyway, he arrived tonight with it, must say it's a good thick article, going to be a nice warm option for Brunton on Sunday.

Arrived today and they are great , I like the teashirts but how often in a normal British summer do you go out in just a teashirt. Now I can go out and be snuggly warm and IF someone sees the logo on the sweatshirt (front and back) they may even stop and talk to me *smile*
-
Cold day out up North yesterday (real North, like near the Tweed)
So we met up with Grandson Callum at Heighley Gate garden centre, me wearing my new Forum sweatshirt, browsing through pullovers on sale ( I have a fetish for pullovers?) I heard someone behind me say "look BSA A7 A10", turns out the chap behind me used to ride a Beeza amongst many others, anyway we had a good old chinwag and I gave the Forum a plug as well as the Tees.
Wouldn't have happened without the large logo on the back, well done Musky
-
G'day Bill.
Mine arrived yesterday. Sorry I can't try on the sweatshirt, it's 30C lol. Look great I especially like the brighter yellow.
Cheers

Couple of pics of my Christmas present from nephew Paul (who produces our Tees, Reckless promotion)
These are olde worlde signs he's been working on, not available as yet they are wondering about sizes and such these are A5.
I'll pass on any comments you might want to make
Apologies for the pics the bottom one is a bit fuzzy, got a bit of a hand shake thing of late, the signs are pin sharp

Hi Morris I'll ask first chance I get
-
G'day Bill.
If their fabric and could be placed over Masonite in a frame A4 or 3 would be good. Also being fabric would be cheaper to post overseas. I'd be interested in two of each.
Cheers
-
Hi Muskie - no they are a steel sign. A5 version of what you might have seen on garage/Petrol stations doors back in the day with a wee bit rust added for authenticity.
I wonder if they are using their existing screen printing equipment (in which case your idea might be feasible).
I'll pass your comments on to Paul
-
reply from Paul
Hi Billy,
The thin metal plates I can print up to A3, I haven't any in stock but if the lads want to give me the size they would prefer and an idea of quantity I could order some to suit. With holes drilled in the corners or without?
I would also have to come up with a way of sending them without them getting bent up in the mail.
I can print on a light weight canvas material which I have some of in stock, the colours will not be quite as vibrant but it will work, I can try one on Monday and you could post a pic to the forum, I don't think I could guarantee weather proofness ( if that's a word) of the canvas, I think it would be an inside thing and also if it was stretched around a board depending on thickness you would loose some of the edge unless I could alter the border to accommodate, I can print that up to A3 also.
Not sure what the prices would be as yet but if the lads give me a better idea of what they would like I can work out prices on Monday.
Cheers
Paul
-
Gday B.
Id be interested in two of each done on canvas @ a3. They'd be behind glass in a picture frame.
See what Paul thinks of the result.
Cheers
-
I might be behind events a little here, got this from Paul today Muskie, see how it goes
Thanks Billy, I'll try one for muskrat tomorrow and see what I think, I will make him an over size A3 and I can email him the results
-
Thanks mate.
Cheers
-
G'day Bill.
Crikey *ex*
Got the prints today, I didn't know the Concord is now doing postal *lol*
They look great. I'll get a few A3 frames next week and post pics.
Tell Paul I think their saleable, and THANKS.
Cheers

HELLO TO EVERYONE ON THE FORUM! *wave*, especially those who are somewhat new and don't know what my avatar picture is about, that is, the the cutaway A10 engine circled with gold rings, the forum name and the web address.
A while back, several of us realized we were almost as much of a club as we were just participants in a forum. To make this more real, we came up with a BSA A7-A10 Forum T-shirt. Besides promoting the forum (which is totally non-profit) and showing off our special interest, it also looks quite sharp and is very good quality at a fair price. Originally, there was a white T with red and black printing to go with the black and gold, but I believe only the black and gold is offered now.
If you are interested, here is the link: http://recklesspromotions.uk/product-category/bsaforum/
...and a photo: (Actually, I think it looks goldier in person than in the photo.)
Richard L.
-
Here is the link for ordering a T-shirt: http://recklesspromotions.uk/product-category/bsaforum/
I think, maybe, only the black T is still available, but you should ask.
Proud to have been involved in the design process that was a team effort.
As it should be, none of us share in the sales income. (Really, I doubt there is profit, as sales are so slow. Paul, at Reckless, is sympathetic to the forum.)
Richard L.
-
I suppose about half our forum members don't know we did this. Wearing mine today for no particular reason. No motorcycle event. Not sure if they can still be ordered
Richard L.
-
G'day Richard.
Funny coincidence, I wore mine on an extended pub crawl on the weekend. Rydal, Taranar, Perthville, Rockley, Newbridge and Blayney. Deb was navigator.
Cheers
-
I wear mine on BSAOC weekends.
-
I think I'll have my design printed -so you can see how much better it is.
No offence to the producers of existing one, but they just don't work graphically, and have no style.
-
Jools,
I think we're usually on the same or similar wavelengths, so I believe you must understand that a sentence beginning, "No offense intended..." almost always offends someone. In this case, I was the implementor of a graphic design by consensus of a majority of those commenting at the time. Regardless, my posting the picture was not intended to open a new aesthetic debate, but to bring back some pleasant nostalgia. If you have a better design that wins the hearts of the current active membership, I say, by all means, go for it and don't ask if people like it, just see if you can get enough people to commit to buying it that going into production makes sense. As long as you're doing the legwork, maybe you can work it our with Reckless Promotions, who already has the order mechanism in place. I am confident that if a different design is available, there will still be those who prefer the existing. In any case I suspect sales will remain very light.
Richard L.
-
Agreed Richard. Mate, I went through a whole career of people foisting amateurish designs on me, (usually the bosses daughter's) or dealing with everybody's second favourite designs, - committee designs - (the Sydney Opera House would never have got built!) I wonder why I ever bothered!
Anyway you're dead right. If I care enough I'll have a few printed.
Cheers Richard - just a 'bare nerve touch' thing for me. Apologies for my thin skin!
-
The original thought was to be able to recognise other members of this forum when attending an event. Over the years since then I've never met anyone else wearing one of these shirts.
-
So I've created and ordered a couple of tee shirts. Now I just need to con a well-endowed lass to model it for the photography *red* Hahaha...

-
G'day Fellas.
A few months ago I wore mine to the Workies Club for dinner. A group of out of town bikers were there. I said G'day and one of them was interested in the Forum as he has an A10. I don't know if he joined but I'd say he's lurking.
Cheers

Looks like the dodgy humour on an old seaside postcard and far from P.C. nowadays.
Thanks for the effort but not one for me.
-
G'day Jools.
Good one but I'm not good in white!
nice being able to get your granddaughter to model!!!
Cheers
-
That's no lady that's my wife!
(And it comes in black too)
-
Yeah Sav... as far as I can get from P.C. is where I want to be. And dodgy seaside humour is exactly what I was aiming for!
-
Jools,
Have they decriminalized weed in Oz? Please advise when the shirts start to sell. Maybe I'll eat crow. I WOULD like to point out a grammatical problem in the joke. If the wife wants "twins,'" giving one does not fulfill the request. To be succinct, I believe it would have to say, ".. so I gave her two," then, maybe, an A7 and A10 sitting next to eachother.
Richard L.
-
Maybe you missed the 'double-entendre' Richard... that explains the quirky grammar.
(Perhaps you don't have the 'gave her one' slang where you come from)?
Mate it's not a contest where someone has to "eat crow" - I hope not anyway.
I'm just putting out a more imaginative approach.
There's no intention to make money here, I'll freely pass on the artwork to anyone who wants it.
Or I can organise tee-shirts - at cost.
-
So, anyway, here's my design...
Click the image to get full size.
Love that, not sure my beloved would approve....I'll go out to the garage and ask it.
-
Wotcha.
A bit late to the party, but I've ordered my shirts now.

Jool., not exactly my favorite design, but appreciate the work put into it, & quality looks good.
And of course I'll take some. Will send PM.
Regarding the original design, got black ones, very nice early on but gold print didn't cope that well with washing. Possible to get a new batch with better print ?

Muskrat, it seems my Messages aren't working, sent messages are just disappearing, so I'm replying here...
(Please note lads, this is just a message for Muskrat, I'm not trying to sell tee-shirts here at all!)
Anyway I'm having a couple of black tee-shirts printed, with the new design so you'll be able to see what they look like.
Absolutely no obligation! If you don't like it I have a couple of big grandsons who'd like one.
Cost is about $27 per unit, -add postage to that. But as I say, no obligation at all.
Cheers mate, -I'll send pics soon so you can see what they look like. (With luck Mary will do the modelling again!)
Cheers,
Jools

'I'll go to the foot of our stairs' is a Northern, (UK) expression of surprise; "You say Jim won a million on the Lottery! Well, I'll go to the foot of our stairs!". Why that expression; who knows?

G'day Jools.
Yes your PM's did get through, just late home from work.

The recent discussion has been inspiring. Ordered a couple of new shirts (engine style), one "T" and one long sleeve. Bought them "XL," so I'll be further inspired to lose some weight. *smile*
Anyway, regarding E's concern for ink wearing off or fading, wash warm or cold, not hot.
Richard L.

Once again: The original point of the tee-shirt was to be able to spot another forum member at a group meeting. Any design should reflect the A7A10 forum.
