Hey gang
hey anyone know (or can easily determine) the size of the nut that retains the front brake cover on the axle of their A10 (swing arm- 61)? Mine is stuck on there and my adjustable pliers are surely going to trash it trying to remove it so thinking i need the proper socket/wrench to get it off and don't like the thought of carrying the tire around the local tool barn (esp if it's shitworth) (just got relined shoes back from SRM- dying to see if they will make a difference once fitted etc.)
thanks!

Its 3/4 BFS - 11/16 Whitworth and it will be king tight. I trawled ebay for weeks and found a 2 foot long ring spanner and a nice box spanner which drops into the recess.
If you don't tighten it with something hefty, it will work loose and rattle the backplate.
Good luck with you new brake!

BTW, the Calor gas spanner is the same size although its usually an open ender.
