Could anyone tell me if this is the correct front brake cable for a BSA Triumph 69-70+ 8" TLS Front brake ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRIUMPH-T100T-TR6-T120R-etc-BSA-A50-1970-A65L-1969-70-FRONT-BRAKE-CABLE-60-2077-/272622307757?hash=item3f798e49ad:g:iicAAOSwaB5XmJQI
Thanks,
Roy.

The originals came with a stop light switch in the cable between the cable adjuster and handlebar end and a different shackle at the brake end. They go with a brake lever with built in adjuster.
Could fit fine.
An original;

Thanks Julian.
I have seen a few of those when searching for a cable and wondered what the switch was for.
Would it be difficult to wire to the stop light ?

Easy. Just a live feed from battery to switch and return from switch to stoplight connection under the seat. Route cables under tank.

Thanks again julian, Just ordered one of each.

Roy,
I started off going down the TLS route you have but as I'd just refurbed my A10 FW hub and rebuilt the wheels and forks - I decided to give in and sold the TLS. Julian kept me right and his information made it all clear. However not before I'd tried to sort out the brake cable! Consequently I now have about five (was 7 but cut up a couple trying to get the free lengths right). My advice is go with Julian's steer, even if you'r not intending wiring the front brake switch. Free lengths, fitting types, shackles, lever ends and over-all lengths are a minefield - best try to keep it simple. Ps - I had the brake lever with the built in adjuster which didn't actually help (and doesn't help with the 8" FW SLS). I also ended up having to extend the shackle end - so will replace it the second I find the right cable.
good luck. Looks like a cracking set up. Might be tempted to give it another go if I keep the A10 (been hankering after a new project but at the end of a work contract so on hold for now).
cheers Raymond.

Hi Raymond,
I also had my front & rear wheels rebuilt (stainless rims / spokes) but I am having a sidecar fitted at the moment and feel the need for better braking so have had another wheel built around this TLS hub. (See picture - sorry about the finger *sad2* )
If the cables are too short I will have to try and make a stainless link to get the correct length.
I do read and try to use all of the information from this forum.
Even If information not used it's a little more knowledge that I didn't have before.

Hi,
Roy,
The fork lug that holds the brake plate , or the lugs on the brake plate will need extending when fitted to A10 forks

Hi John,
I am aware of this, I have got the job organised, just waiting to get the bike back to see how much to add on.
