Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what tyre sizes I should have on my Spitfire. All the manuals I have just specify standard A10 wheel & tyre sizes (i.e. 19" front & rear). I have an 18" wheel on the back of mine.
Looking for a nice set of Metzler Knobblies if I can get them, or even Avon Distanzia's. Anyone got them on a Sptifire?

I'm always delighted to read posts from a fellow (real) Spitfire owner!
The original Spit, introduced in the US market in May 1957, was announced in the May issue of "Cycle" magazine fitted with a 21" front and 18" rear knobby-tired wheels. The same issue showed a factory advert with a 19" universal tire on the front. Bear in mind that the normal roll-out of BSA models was done in August of the preceding year.
