Title: Fork Shrouds
Post by: bl**dydrivers on 21.09. 2018 02:02
Originally it was a UK trim red Super Rocket with red mudguards (now has chrome mudguards) and typical nacelle fitted. Converted it to twin clock configuration, located original long black fork shrouds (needs paint) and now located original short chrome fork shrouds (needs rechrome).

Now can’t decide which ones to use.

Photos are for reference and apologize if it’s any members bikes.

The rubber gaiters a bit “agricultural” and more appropriate on a scrambles style bike.
The black metal shrouds are more “stylish” I find.
But that’s just my opinion...

I like the short shrouds with gaiters. You don't get the shrouds rubbing on the seal holders this way.

I like the long'uns if set up not to rub (can be a gugga of a job). i put short GS shrouds below the bottom tripple clamp to show the hard chrome tube tops.
Cheers

Gaiters are more 1960s style. I like them, but you just have to hope that the ones you buy last more than six months before splitting. *sad2*
