Title: A7 single jumped seat
Post by: Atoll on 22.09. 2018 12:36
Thinking my restored none standard 1960 A7SS would benefit from a single humped seat as I will be the only rider no pillion. Anybody fit one if so what do you recon to  to and any recommendations?  Thinking something like this.

Looks like the inner primary mounting ear is on wrong side of frame tab.

Almost did that myself a couple days ago

No, I don't mean agreeing with Lee!

One thing I like about having the full length seat is being able to slide back and lean over cafe style to reduce wind drag (even though I haven't cafe bars, pegs or pedals). Not sure the seat shown would allow that.

as berger says yes it can be done, it is quite surprising just how much alloy cases can flex (and leak)

Should be doable I think. May need some modification to the rear seat to mudguard bracket?
Will give it a somewhat scrambler look

I will start a new thread in the engine forum about what I have found today.
