If i cant find a solution to subject I'll have to revert back to standard footrests which I've previously tryed to find but that seemed an impossible task
So if anyone has fooorests for A7 frame letters fay apparently its a 1959 frame according to v5 I'd be happy to pay asking price .
It really should have the rearsets as pic will show but how to fit them is a mystery to me
Respect

G'day K-Becc, maybe some pics of the rearsets roughly in situ (on floor or box under will do) will be of help
NB Frame/ Engine Number prefixes will determine the year

I'm a little confused (but that's not unusual). Are you saying that the picture suggests rearsets because of the cafe seat and bars, or are you saying the picture is actually showing rearsets? I'm thinking the former, because I suppose you know the picture is showing conventional pegs for a pillion rider.

Hi,
Google some pics of BSA Gold Star's
You will see the rearset mounts are welded on towards the front of the pillion rest frame loops
Autocycle enginèeing may have the weld on mounts and should have the footrest assemblies
The left-hand sidecar mount maybe in the way??
The foot brake pedal will need modifying
The gold star frames use a different swing arm and wheel and left side rod operated brake

G'day Dean.
Nice. A65 seat, tank and front wheel. I luv Cafe's.
The lug pictured is welded to the frame (arrow).
Cheers

Shame you're not a bit closer. I've got a pair of left & right high level pipes that would look good on that
Cheers

i recon those high level pipes would look MUCH better on mine! I have started rowing *yeah* *grins* *lol*

The nut-holding recesses are interesting. I'm guessing those are commercially made.

Hi All,
Attached photo of the rearset mounting lugs attached to the project B33.9 frame
The hex section is fitted to the outside, the mounting fasteners have a hex section, also the bracket that takes the folding footrest, so a range of adjustment is available
The braze rather than weld repairs to the pillion rest mounts were done because it was impossible to get the joints clean enough to TIG weld without cutting them off to clean inside the hollow mounting *work*

I'll take some screen grabs and put them in a new thread

Hi All
The photos sent from my new Samsung phone to the laptop are right way up, when I send them to the forum can appear in any orientation *conf2* *conf2*
Can the admin people please correct this ?

John,
Sorry, but I am curious beyond any intention of ever needing these. Nevertheless, could you clear something up for me? Is the hex recess to secure a nut, or prevent a rearset with a hex boss from turning in the bracket? If for a nut, it seems on the wrong side.

Hi All,
Richard,
Hopefully the attached pics will explain how the assembly goes together
The cranked bracket has bi hex serrations so in theory 12 positions available
One hex stud is longer than the other, a spacer is fitted on one side for a reason I cannot remember just now *conf2*
(expect upside down pics *conf* *conf*)

G'day John.
Must have been the trip to the States. Driving on the wrong side has affected your camera. The orientation changes when clicked on.

That does explain it. The hex stud effectively becomes the boss I envisioned on the rearset.

Dear Chaterlea, where does one find the rearset kit you pictured? Thanks

Hi All,
I think I will go back and use my old phone for forum photos as I never had problems with it *conf2* *conf2*
Peter,
The rearset parts and frame lugs were bought from Autocycle Engineering in Birmingham UK
