Title: Spindle end play / worn wheel bearings
Post by: pdg on 28.10. 2018 14:32
Hi,
I've taken the rear wheel out of my rigid B34 with a riveted hub.  The wheel is fitted with a hub speedo drive. There is quite a lot of end play in the spindle along it's axis. Is this normal, to does it suggest either badly adjust bearings, or worn bearings?
Many thanks, Peter.

Hi pdg,
There were two types of hub fitted to the rigid B frame
The early one is where the drum/sprocket are part of the hub,
These have taper roller  bearings so are adjustable

Photos always help
