Title: 8" Full width hub front brake, A7 SS
Post by: hughatthepub on 16.11. 2018 12:08
Hi, I would like to install a 8" full width cast iron hub/wheel on the front end of my A7 SS, what's the best way to go about this? Do I jut change the  rh fork tube for one with the brake anchor block in the higher position, and if so where can I get the correct fork tube? Otherwise what about repostioning the block on an existing 7" tube? I worry about the integrity on the setup as this is a safety critical area!!

Any help mucg appreciated!

The fork bottoms for the iron full width hub is same for 7 and 8 inch brakes.

The 1958 on Shooting Star was fitted with the 8 inch full width as standard. The only A7 had the 7 inch unit.
