Title: Plugs for hot weather

Just a quick question on plugs. Is it worth running a cooler grade of plug when weather this hot?
Also, what's the best way to clean maggy's slip ring?

 Just what do you call hot ?
I've been using NGK BP6EY (I think- check when back at it ),  and thus far they cope with ~9° to ~40° currently about 25° - nice winters day *wink2* *beer*

Clean the slip ring with petrol on a rag held against the inside of the ring with a stick while the engine is turned.

Shorting the kill switch wire while you do this helps prevent shocks.
 And fires!

 Yep- just had a look and ^that's ^ what they are....(alloy head btw) much the same as BP6ES but grooved electrode  Forgot about the slip-ring, but I had to do mine the other day 'cos it'd been a bit cuntankerous and did much as TT says, but used metho as per usual and electronic contact cleaner, but also needed some abrasive paper to really clean it...all back to one-kick-wonder now....nb; I have a kill-switch so no sudden surprises *smile*

Thank you. Had a rough runner, then a non starter and now have a rough runner again. Twas 35*c in the sun on sat and things seemed worse, could be due to me overheating. Yes i know it gets much warmer in other places! Will go and play when time allows.

Friday, my bike was not happy in the heat & town traffic.
