Title: Original Owner got in Touch.
Post by: RoyC on 10.09. 2019 21:23
What a nice surprise.
The son of the original owner of my BSA contacted me after seeing his dads old bike on you-tube.
He sent me this photo, taken when my bike was new.
I have sent him a copy of the original log book with his dads name in it.

I have a Triumph 3hw. I was showing it at a local rally last summer. When I posted the pictures on Facebook I was contacted by the son of the gentleman who restored the bike in India. We got talking and he sent me restoration photos that he had. We met up this summer and he was telling me about riding the bike in India. Jeff

That's cost me another £190 for the correct dual seat, third time lucky.

The original owner just sent me a picture of the dealership that sold him my bike and a price list to give some idea of prices.

That ad brinmgs back memories. Had forgotten about Wyverns etc. And a 1000cc Vincent for same money as BSA or Enfield, with a 500 Vinnie half the price of an LE Velocette. Latter must have been a good'un.
