Title: spitfire tyre size and swinging arm
Post by: spyke on 16.08. 2009 19:40
Hi chaps,

What size rear tyre should I be putting on my Spitfire rep?
Anybody got a rear torque arm to sell or anybody got dimensions/sketch so I can fabricate one and weld bracket on swinging arm, Im desperate for this but I dont know anyone local who I can go and measure. Also where to weld on pivot point for brake pedal pivot

Cheers Spyke

Not really being that specific , I guess earlier one with single width hubs ,sorry Im not a purist just building it on a budget to be ridden rain or shine

my '57 had 19 inch rims both ends, and when I got it it had 4.0 on rear and 3.5 on front.  that is far from the authority speaking, I would definitely give preference to Mr Paddock's info.

Spyke,
As I remember you were talking about using an A65 wheel. Are you running an 18" rim?
