A stunning A10 twin carb head is being advertised on the SRM website £1,500 ouch ! I won't be buying it.

I have to say that I love the fact that my SR has a single carb. It makes starting a breeze tuning a doddle and unless I was attempting to screw unwise levels of acceleration out of my 62 year old machine I struggle to see the point.

That SRM head also comes with the 2 into 1 bolt on manifold if you want to stay single.

Remember that the 1954/55 Road Rocket had a head with detachable manifold. Casting number 67 1106 part number 67 1105.

Nice to know - I got one of these heads with the project bike. For sure I will fit two carbs, have handed Monoblocs that were once on a Triumph.
cheers

Over the years I've had 5 twin carb A10 heads. On 3 of the 5, there was a stamping under the right side intake track (54RR &56RR on 2 of them). My conclusion is the stamped ones left BSA on a Road Rocket and the unstamped came thru the parts department.

This was being sold in the USA in 1964.
