What do we think of this then? Spotted on ebay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bsa-A10-650/153874494690?hash=item23d3a274e2:g:6igAAOSwnuxeeL7Q

I had that engine in the right frame, superb and bullet proof. I would not do that to an A10 personally, albeit a clever bit of engineering.

The GS 500 is not a bad thing. Nice and simple mechanically, air cooled 2 valve / cyl twin. Plenty of performance. Strong, reliable.
Light and chuckable as a 250. But why you'd want to put one in a nice A10 frame I don't know, the GS handles and stops pretty well. Got to be a marriage of convenience I'd say.

Doesn't make a lot of sense other than "I had the bits lying around and because I could". ;)
-
Simple and robust maybe - but it's not a very good looking engine is it?

Looks quite decent. And a front brake that actually works, the builder has made some good choices.
& "borrowed" a picture for future reference.

At least he'll have enough charge to get those indicators working properly... *smile*
Come to think of it, maybe that's the reason for the engine swap... *doubt*
