Hello,
I'm nearing the end of a job to swap over of brake and gear levers on my air cooled Bmw. I have two Bsa brake pedals that could be bent into shape. The first is a rather rough cross over type as on my A10, but the second which is in much better condition, I have no clue of what it's off. This unknown one would take much less work to fit, but I'm thinking I should try and identify it before I start. I did run the number forged on the arm (42 - 7004) through the forum and net but the results don't help me identify for sure. Any help much appreciated. Martin

ralph. Prefix 42 Series identifies it as from a BSA Swing Arm Model. The forging number 7004 is not the part number. The BSA System numbers parts one digit from the forging number. That's why you can't find it. Look for part 42 7003.
It is actually from a B or A Series early S/A frame, rod brake on left side. Only used for a couple of years, 54/55 so rare and too good to butcher......might even fit on a Gold Star.......

Well I never had a clue how the numbers worked at all. Found stuff online using the correct number 42 7003. Brilliant, it will pay for a weeks council rent! Nice one Swarfy.

Or "Brow" as Drew Pritchard so knowledgeably described the marque!

Eek indeed John. Rest assured it wont even see the shadow of a HACKSAW.
Will fit a Goldie or RGS.
Thanks Trev and everyone for the guidance, my path is clear.
