Hi all,
Can someone please provide the wheel offset for both wheels of a 1956 A10?

G'day Richard,
                   i'll look at mine over the weekend. Don't suppose you know how to get the studs out ? I think they were the biggest brakes fitted to the A 7/10's. 7' X 1.5"

G'day Richard,
                    Front 2.5mm to the right, Back 5mm to the right. That is the brake plate side. But after saying that it would be a good idea to put the wheels on without tyres and check that they are central in the forks & swingarm.

Muskrat,
Would you mind doing the same on your 51 A7.
I'm about to have the wheels rebuilt on my 52 A7 basket case and assumed the front wheel offset was zero.
It would be good to get the facts before I rush in. I'm thinking the rim centres should be in line with the spine?

G'day Olev,
               you are correct with the rims in line with the frame spine, IF it's straight. The front rim is central to the hub, the rear is offset 5mm to the right. A bit hard to measure with it in the frame. I lace my own but Mike Warner up your way does a great job.

I will double check the back wheel when Kellett is finished with the frame.
I was mainly concerned when you and Orabanda started talking about an offset on the front.

Hi Muskrat,
Can you please confirm that the rear wheel offset is as follows:

If the wheel is laid down with the brake drum uppermost, The rim edge is 5mm higher than the top of the alloy hub on the brake side.

G'day Richard,
                   the centre line of the rim is 5mm to the right of the centre line of the hub between the spoke flanges. So depends on your rim width. Your going in the right direction.
