Title: Restoration nearly complete but have this piece left over.
Post by: Steveba10 on 24.02. 2021 16:02
Hi,
Nearing the end of my restoration of a ‘57 A10 plunger and looking to start her up soon.

Happy with progress so far, but have this piece left over. (photo below)
It was with all the other pieces of disassembled bike as I received it.
I shot blasted and repainted it along with all the other parts.
I vaguely thought it might be a rear brake reaction torque arm but now puzzled.
I’ve looked through parts illustrations but cannot identify it.

My bike originally had a chair back in the 50’s so it might be a part of that, it also shared a shed with a Brough both being dis-assembled for many years.

Any ideas anyone?
Thanks for reading,
Steve.

Could it be an exhaust clip.  Seem to remember there was one fitted between the pipes ,helped keep'em in place

Does not look familiar as a standard plunger part. Mudguard stay from another marque is a likely candidate.

 Swarfy.

I've recently completed a full A10 plunger rebuild, and I don't recognise that part.

Hang on to it though, you never know when you might find a use for it!  *smiley4*
