Title: A10 Rear wheel off center
Post by: oldbeezageezer on 09.04. 2021 20:36
I have just had my rear mudguard off to re paint and when looking from the rear of the bike the wheel is leaning off to one side. It looks to be about 15mm off centre. Pics attached.

I have levelled up the bike on my ramp and checked measurements from swing arm to ram and both are the same. There doesn't appear to be any movement in the swing arm bushes or the wheel bearings. Any ideas? All I can think of is that the rim has been put on to the hub wrongly. Is that possible?

The wheel appears to be leaning over at the top. Could be one of several things (but not the wheel). Check the swing arm through bolt. Are the holes in the webs where it goes through OK or have they worn oval? Has a swing arm bush collapsed? Or is the swing arm bent? Probably easiest to check is the latter - take the wheel out and ensure both arms are parallel with each other.

Hi obg
If the swing arm centres measure the same each side to the bike bench
Then so should the wheel spindle centres
