hi guys -do any of you have an extractor for the headstock bearing on an a10 plunger --part number 61-3063---that i can buy / borrow or rent please --i dont want to be brutal as due to advancing years make working upside down an issue

Try heating up the headstock with a heat gun (paint stripper). Mine came out with little force.

Did the same when putting in new ones.

hi--many thanks --but thats brutal  and i cant work bent over --unfortuneatly i found out about the bearings after powder coating and replaceing  the balls

Unless you can rule out the use of loctite (or similar) having been used on the outer race (due to loose fit) I think you should try heat......from memory loctite 609 softens between 100 and 200 degC. The good news is that if the race is being held by loctite it will come out easily once the loctite is soft.
