Hi all,I have a 1953 A7 which has the control box fastened on rear mudguard,I’m new to the A7 and was wondering if there’s a modern alternative to the control box .Thanks in advance,Gordon.

Just Google "DVR2" regulator and buy from dynamoregulators.com

but but but... look at all the fun one can have with an old original :O)
They do work very good if in good shape and properly set up.

I stripped the guts out of a regulator case and fitted a DVR2* I made the internal connections appear on the original tags so the regulator looks totally original.

*Fit the best, forget the rest 👍

G'day Gordo.
+3 for the DVRII. I have both mine (51A7, 57 A10) with them. Both mine have 6v dynamo but upped to 12v via the DVRII for the Boyer ignition and lights.
Cheers
