Title: Winter is here early
Post by: muskrat on 18.05. 2023 21:44
G'day Fellas.
Well it might be warming up n the North half but Winter has started here. Just checked my thermometer is showing -4C, but the official temp is a bit lower. Glad I can't ride for another 4 weeks and not looking forward to then  *ex*
Cheers

G'day Shark.
Is that the Royal National Park? That was my back yard growing up at Heathcoat and the race track as soon as I got my license.
Enjoy.

Good one Sean.
You Canuck's are used to cold weather of minus 10-20-30C but I did think it would be a tad warmer there now *ex* https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temperature_in_Canada
I'm from the coast where it rarely gets below double figures. This'll be my third Winter here but the last two have been mild.

Well that is what you get for moving from the sunny coast to the inland .
Even going to the Bathurst Bike races Lithgow was always a good 20% cooler

usually in the mid plus 20s here this time of yr  ...mother nature likes to throw in the odd cold spell just in time to kill off the blossoms on my cider trees .

Yes Muskrat, that is the one. The weekend traffic is terrible but during the week it is ok. I haven’t seen plod down there for a while, after a couple of nasty prangs a while back he was there almost daily.

G'day Shark.
Was good back in the day pre radar.
We used to go down to Cliffton Pub for the bands. I very rarely remember riding home  *eek* Most would go the highway and I'd still beat them home even in the wet  *whistle*
Cheers

What heat? Sure, parts of europe have been having higher than normal temps lately, but here July has so far been rather chilly. Had to turn the heating back on. But that won't make the papers, they only print that which aligns with the official agenda ...

G'day Fellas.
It's back. How do we stop the world from wobbling? It would be the same weather all year round.
Minus 6C yesterday, minus 4C this morning. Might even crack double figures at lunchtime!
Cheers

I slept in a tin shed overnight on the farm. A nice white frost this morning. It is usually about 1 deg warmer in the shed.
I had thawed out by midday.

musky our weather is schorcio today 28-30 but our weather persons seem to only be able to tell us what it is on the day, when they try to tell us a weeks worth 9 times out of 10 they get it wrong and get paid for getting it wrong.

Meanwhile here in Cornwall we had 30°C yesterday and today the mercury looks to be heading in the same direction. These temperatures are known as a Heatwave in the UK.
