After winter layup and usual service, had initial starting issue, found what I thought was the cuprit, jammed cam ring on manual A/R, so freed but still starting issue. Spark was weak, so off with magneto leads, could not believe how stiff and hard the HT leads had gone, no flexibility and discovered poor connection at the pickups. So replacing the leads, just another potential problem area when running these bikes.

Please don't think I'm insinuating anything but good quality tinned copper core Lucas Hypalon HT leads should last many years. Mine have been on since July 2018, when I also fitted magneto pick ups and brushes from Brightspark Magnetos. Never had to touch any of it since.
