Hi, thanks for reading this. My name's Eddie and I brought a tatty 1952 Goldflash a few months ago, and currently I'm trying to restore it.
My question is I have a rear hinged mudguard with brake light, and currently the wiring to it is visible and runs along the mudguard support arms, with the help of isulation tape and cable ties. I've checked on the inside of the guard and there is no conduit for cables to run through. Could someone please tell me the correct route the cable back to the electrics box??
Many Thanks.

Hi Eddie,
I'm looking at a BSA Factory Brochure picture of a 1951 Golden Flash and it clearly shows the run of the wiring from the rear light going along the left side mudguard support stay and then along the rear frame tube from the suspension up to the regulator box/battery area. Good luck with the restoration and keep us informed of your progress. *work*

Just to cloud the issue I notice that the plunger rear mudguard description on Ebay mentions clips for wiring so it looks like that had the wiring concealed. It says that was off a single though. *conf*

Yeah, I believe that BSA ran the wiring inside the rear mudguard from 1953 when they brought out the enclosed rear number plate. ;)

My 1948 bike has it going along the frame/mudguard stay route.

My bike also wiring is inside the rear mudguard.
