Hi everyone, new to the forum and new to classic BSA’s. Just acquired my first classic British bikes after coming from classic Harley’s for years, it’s a 1957 Golden flash. Love the bike but not the handlebars, it’s just not comfortable for me so after some recommendations and pictures of other peoples bikes. I dont particularly like the US western bars as they are to high but something in between stock and those with a bit of pull back would be ideal. Looking to keep the classic look still but just more comfort.
Any help appreciated thanks!

Hi mate, welcome to the forum. I've tried various high-ish 'bars, usually Renthals, but switched back to standards.
https://www.renthal.com/moto/handlebars Whereabouts are you based? If you are close to Crewe you can come round and try some of the ones i've got before buying something.

G'day Luke. *welcome*
A while back, when my back & hip were bad, I needed to get the bars closer. I found these worked quite well. https://xitomer.com/product/cnc-motorcycle-dirt-bike-handlebar-risers/

Nice one thanks for the replies, I’ll look into those bars and risers. Did they make much difference?

G'day Luke.
Yes they worked for me. I needed the bars a bit closer (further back) but could also lift the bars 2" higher. I'll post a pic when the sun comes up.
Cheers

I can absolutely recommend the bars I have on my Kawasaki W650. They give an ultra comfortable position, which is ideal for big rides out, and you don't feel the aches and pains the following day. The only issue I get with the Kwaka is a sore backside when I've been out for about 5 hours of continuous riding.
The bars on my GF are ok, and I've had a lot of 150m+ rides with them, but I do get a bit of back and neck ache from the riding position. The ONLY reason I've not changed them as yet is because I feel they're more in keeping with the look of the bike than higher bars.
I suppose that if you only do shorter runs, the standard bars are fine. If you want to tour, I'd be looking at the higher bars.

Apologies to the purists (Black Sheep, et al), but I've bought some higher bars for the GF. They are listed as being for the GF, but for the US market. My back and neck were screaming for some relief, now they've got it.
I'm probably more 'easy rider' now, rather than thug (no offence Bergs) *wink2* *wink2* *beer* *beer* *beer* *whistle* *whistle* *grins*

G'day Luke.
Pics as promised. The risers can be rotated vertical or horizontal as required.
