Been getting a bit behind this year, not helped by our 3rd world health system. Only way seems to be a private consultation followed by general hospital if necessary. My family arrived from France several centuries ago - wish we'd stayed there, as they have a superior health system.
Rant over, been thinking about the oil switch that cuts supply to prevent wet sumping.
My mag has the button cut-out, so the oil switch has no ignition connection. That would require modification of the mag cover to a brush type (did that to my latest vee as mag is hidden behind rear carb) and also a stop button at handlebars.
The concern re going off and forgetting the oil tap does concern me, so was thinking of an alternative which I'm thinking of fitting to my GF when time permits.
Which is, a live feed from battery switch to an 'ignition' light up front, the circuit completed by the oil switch when off. The light would serve as a reminder the tap is off, and after use and the tap is once again turned off, a reminder to turn off the battery switch too.

Hi RD
I think there are too many "iff's" in that idea *????*
I would modify the mag end cover,
The brush part of a screw on cover is removable but you would have to insulate it from the metal cover.
Or change the mag end plate to one that accepts a brush type end cover ?.
