Title: Kicking back when starting
Post by: Gearbox on 20.04. 2026 12:46
A10 with Thorspark ignition, been running fine for years but now kicking back and spitting from carb when trying to start, when going, runs fine
Manual advance/retard system, checked it is working OK, If it was to slip, assume it would retard rather than advance,
checked carburetter, all clean and correct nothing changed there, next job is inlet valves.
Anyone with other ideas please

Well, that's typical, been looking at advance retard again, adjusted the cable a bit, cleaned carb again. Started 1st time, idling very nicely, not sure what sorted it, but happy now
