After fitting a new timing side bush and re building the engine she fired up today. As others have said, it always takes some time to get started after a re build, but finally burst into life. I can hear the neighbours saying Oh no not him again is it that time of year.
As it always takes a long time to get the oil to return to the tank I earlier decided to prime it. I removed the plugs and the relief valve and turned the engine over with the kick start. I then left it for about 10 mins. I did this three or four times until I got oil coming out of the relief valve hole. Even though, it still took a while to get the oil coming back to tank.
One or two things to do and then roll on summer.

Well done Goldy, she sure looks good.
I usually prime the sludge trap on rebuild, then fit the oil pump almost last when the engine is back in the frame, this allows me to prime oil down the crankcase oil feed hole with a pump action oil can. When the moter starts oil is already where it should be.
