Hi all.
This is the first forum I've ever been on so please forgive errors.
I migrated to Oz 35 yrs ago. I brought my ('51/2 A7S motor in '49 rigid frame) and totally dismantled '57(?) Ariel Hub A10 with me. They have sat in a shearing shed ever since.
I have renewed interest in the bikes (maybe dementia has set in)
There is a wealth of knowlege on the forum and there seem to be a number of Aussies, whose brains I would love to pick as I have had no contact with any sort of bike scene since I have been here.
In return I can give lots of information about sheep! Thank you, gavinoz

Welcome aboard Gavinoz.
There are quite a few of us here in AUS and from every state I think. I'm in S. Aust down in Mt Gambier.
Not sure how many will want info on sheep but we do have a couple of New Zealand members............
-
Two great things about the forum.... 1. Distance is not an issue - some of us Brits will be willing to help even though you have deserted! 2. Help is free (I really don't want or need to know anything about sheep in return!). Good luck with your project.

G'day Gavinoz, welcome to the forum.
All I know about wooly jumpers is they taste great, especially the curly chops.
Where in this great land are you?
Cheers

We're cheering/shearing *roll* that you've joined us, having renewed your interest in BSA bikes! Good to have you aboad.

Welcome gavinoz.
I'm with Muskat re sheep, taste damn nice but those old rams are pretty heavy if you need to handle them and the only thing curly about the lads is their B*** crushing horns. :(

In return I can give lots of information about sheep! Thank you, gavinoz
PM me with their phone number.

Yes WELCOME Gavinoz... I'm also about to start rebuilding my 57 Flash,
the wealth of knowledge of members on this forum is invaluable..
where are you located?
-
Welcome gavinoz, Im in Townsville Queensland. Get into that BSA and get it goin you'll never be home once you do.

Hello Gavinoz,
welcome to the forum,I was just 12 days in Ireland, I was fishing on the River Shannon and I saw a big pile nice sheep but fried sheep I like more. *smile*
Regards Peter

Thank you all for your welcome.
I'm afraid I have to learn about Forums before I start on the bike!
For instance what is Karma?
And is it possible to 'reply all' to those who answered a post, or to individual people? (like a little 'side room', i guess)
For instance i would tell Triton Thrasher that we dont get mobile reception out here so I cannot provide phone numbers for my sheep (and you have to be a Merino before you get an introduction).
Anyway to Muskrat, I am situated in Black Springs NSW (near Oberon) about 6 hours from you (I looked for Lake Conjola on google maps)
I have not stripped the engine down yet, but my first question will be about possibly local suppliers of outsize HC pistons for A7S.
Thanks again, Gavinoz

G'day Gav, got your PM.
To post a reply on that page just hit reply at the bottom of page. To reply to a single person send a PM as you did to me.
Karma is good. If a member gives you good advice or points you in the right direction you can give them a Karma point.
Drove through Black springs in Feb. The wife blinked and missed it. *smile* Great bike roads out there.
Cheers
