Title: Dynamo plugs
Post by: A10 JWO on 22.10. 2012 17:43
The connections on my old Flash seem to be like nothing on the market, where can I get the correct connections and rubber cover please.

Col-mate that's a little vague,(even for me *conf*) you may need to be a bit more concise?
 cheers

I think you mean the old push in type that you pushed the wire through and then bent the wire strads back over? You can still get them at electrical suppliers. Easier still speak to Brian at Lightning spares in Manchester or one of the Magneto/dynamo restorers, they will have the connector and the all important rubber insulator rubber that also holds the connectors in place.

And don't forget the banana shaped flat piece (bakelite type material) that both holds the connectors in and is a mount for the rubber cover to clip to.  It has three holes - central retaining screw and two for the wires.

Hi Colin,

You could also look for a classic car (MG, Austin Healey, Morris Minor etc..) parts dealer in your neighbourhood.
You'll be surprised to find how many parts like WW nuts and bolts, tools, and electrical stuff are common to British bikes of that period.

Good luck,
Patrick
