Hi, I have logged onto this site numerous times as a visitor looking for answers to various problems and felt becoming a member was long over due.
My experience of these bikes was zero until I bought an A10 last year to complete a restoration so have found the information on this site invaluable. So much is missing from the manuals!
The bike has been off the road since 1990 but is now nearing completion. An elderly relative always talked about his BSA Golden Flash hence the model chosen although the bike I have is a 1958 A7 frame with a 1955 Flash engine fitted
I will post a photo in a day or two, in the meantime thanks for all the information that has been posted on the site.

G'day tiggy, welcome to the forum.
Has the old relo seen it yet?
All A7/10's have A7 frame #'s.
Cheers
