Every time I hear the song "Millionaires Son" by the Creedence Clearwater Revival, it makes me jump up and kick the bike to life for a burst on the wide open road. I find it's got exactly the right pace to suit an A10 In fact, I often find myself humming it when driving, pretending to be in a road movie of some kind.....;D
Anybody else got a song like that?

any of the above really - good selection - and probably most of the below ;)
but at the moment possible Claptons "Lay Down Sally", got it as my ringtone on the phone as it has a longish intro, I like to see shop assistants starting to jig about if it goes off in the shop.
As an aside for your safety, a friend suggested "Bearshare" as a site for free MP3 downlands, don't it puts some funny stuff on your PC you don't really want, no virus but stuff sitting in there you know nothing about (unless your as nosy as I am)

RIP Lou Reed, I must've missed this, but KiwiPom, those links just tell me 'no longer available'- bugga, I'll try'n chase em up elsewhere. That Earl Scruggs was fairly shethoot, I's a sucker for Hillbilly/bluegrass, actually saw a left handed fiddle player for the first time the other night
Brian yer right about Arlos motoSickle song- I think I always sing that to myself, but it seemed a bit cliche. Funny, but when i was trying to figure what colour to paint my A10, and couldn't decide between the blue or the red, which is why it ended up as it is, it occurred to me that when I originally started to build it I may have had a preconceived idea in my head of what a Motor cycle should look like, seeded by Arlos song in ~'68, and when it ended up red and blue, it looked to me like it had landed on top of a police car-but no one died..... When he was in town here in March, I managed to have a yarn with him and told him this story, and he was a bit bemused, and showed me a picture of his Indian....he'd had a big day, but that's another(Arlo) story.....!!

Weell.. all this headrushin' stuff is no match for the true motorcycle on a mountain song....probably the first ever song I heard about a motorcycle, and made me want one....when the Man was in town a couple of years back, I accidentally cornered him and asked what kind of bike he had in mind/would have been riding when he wrote that song, I showed him a picture of my Beeza, which I'd painted like this to decide which colour I preferred; he showed me a picture of his Indian...no pleeces or cars died... *eek*

It's a funny old world, this afternoon I attended a meal to celabrate 21 years of the local U3A (university of the third age) old folks having fun following interests they missed out on while working (engineering museums , History, Science for me but all sorts catered for, now after meal entertainment was a woman playing harp followed by a group playing recorder type things, bully for them but defo not my cup of tea, however politeness prevailed and I (think ) I clapped in all the right places

Here's one that does never apply to any of us.. *smile*..not a bike song, but local (normally ska/punk) band Blowhard, the band who 'sung' it, have for heaps of years played on boat cruises and at bush bash parties to fundraise for local race outfit, Team Stranglers (TSR)...well known in the B.E.A.R.S system....

Haven't gotten to ride an A10 yet, but Radar Love- Golden Earring makes my throttle hand twist the loud knob real hard. Hot Rod Heart by Fogarty and Runnin' Down a Dream by Tom Petty gets me going faster as well. Of course, there's Maybelline (Chuck Berry), Hot Rod Lincoln (Commander Cody) and many others for longer rides, but these are good for commuting to work (about 30 miles of twisty 2-lane).

That has been blocked in the UK. I like the Mickey & Sylvia - Love Is Strange bit. I just love stuff that gets me jumping around in my chair. That's about as much as I can manage these days.

For "offline youtube music", have been using this https://www.4kdownload.com/products/product-videodownloader for a while, it works 1st class+++. Free. To support them, today just bought the licence, well worth it.
In this case, downloading all 51 songs from your playlist to my pc :O) as mp3 with titles, artist, cover photo etc. See attachments.
Not at all for piracy or illegal sharing etc, but to be able to listen to stuff later several times, saving internet consumption as am very often (lately always) on metered mobile connection. And yes, I buy music too, allmost always things initially discovered on youtube.

If you tune in to BBC Radio 4 Extra you can listen to old stuff all day long. I've modified my parent's old valve 'Wireless' so I can plug it into a modern sound source. Rado 4Extra sounds great coming out the old bakelite case!

GB I've seen Steve Gibbons live more times in the last few years and he is still going strong, but now with snowy white hair and a more relaxed style of performance. He sings more like Bob Dylan than Bob Dylan, you would swear Mr Dylan was in the room. Along with Dave Pegg, PJ Wright, Phil Bond and drummer Jerry Conway, these musicians occasionally perform as "The Dylan Project" and are well worth seeing.

Not very often you can transport yourself back in time but I achieved that last night. Played Terry by Twinkle on Youtube and for a few minutes it really was as if I were back with my mates in the early 60’s. Those were the days, excellent music, good bikes, camaraderie, little traffic, better morals and lower crime than today. Riding out in a group of 15 to 20 from one of the ‘caffs’ to a favourite destination out of town (on the limit the whole way) was great. Police never bothered us, seemed they didn’t care though they could easily have caught us with their cars, especially the 3.4 Jags. And then there was the incentive to keep your bike in top form, as the fastest rider invariably had the pick of the unattached girls in the group - and some were quite tasty. Nothing like being gripped tight by a bird whilst riding fast. Not to mention the kiss and cuddle – and hopefully a bit more – when we reached our destination. It helped that at the time I was working in the tool room of a local engineering firm, where I could re-profile cams and generally tune my bikes. This love of engineering, fast riding (and the females around the motorcycle scene) led me into hill-climbing, sprinting, scrambles and, after a couple of years, sand racing. But by that time the rocker era was coming to a close. Best days of my life and how I miss them.

A video I came across, it's not new (think about 2012)but it's the first time I've seen it On Amazon Prime, The Eagles Farewell 1 tour from the Rod Laver Stadium Melbourne, played through Phillips blue tooth headphones, great sound quality and they know their stuff the performance I reckon is better than the records and Joe Walsh - top man

In my old days, started to enjoy (melodic) black metal... still got a problem with the 'vocals', but alleviated by listening to the arrangements, all the stuff going on in the background, the way they bind together different parts of a song, the powerful sound\production\dynamics, the insanely great drummers, the guitars ...makes it a great experience. Very good at 7 in the morning to get one out of bed :O)

^^^ Church burning happened in Norway, even in my town. But that's done by death black devil medieval nordic mythology metal bands, not the melodic ones which are gentle guys just looking a bit weird :O)

^^^ btw, all the real & best melodic heavy metal bands are all from Finland for some unknown raeson. Surely someone has got their PHD researching the phenomena :O) The others bands are just copycats trying to catch up.
Did visit Algarve years ago, looking around for some old house (finca?) a little off the coast to make it a holiday home, but the summer temps made me immediately back down, but what a fantastic country. Ended up finding something in the mountains north of Nice\Cannes, can be hot in daytime but a cool mountain breeze in the evenings\nights makes it all perfect.
ps. got my dose of tobacco in the upper lip right now... made me stop smoking, like 100.000's others. Recommended by doctors. Cancer warning on the boxes was removed some years ago, after long clinical investigations found nothing corelating this type of tobacco to diseases. But one is still hooked on nicotine just like cigarettes.

Sadly, Mick R. was already having health issues at the time, did mention doses of pain of unknown origin, later diagnosed as more than serious. A great personality, gentle, smiling and friendly during all the work and long hours.

I roadied for Steppenwolf in Montreal twice when they were in town for a series of nights at high schools and hockey arenas. Saw T-Rex at an arena around the same time! Lovely memories ( well what is left of the memories ) of some incredible bands around those years. “If you can remember it then you really were not there”

Went to see live music again last week, like the pub, live acts will disappear unless we support them. Money grabbing big business pubco's, music industry streaming and government policy all hell bent on killing off the golden goose.
Anyway, this time it was Roving Crows, a Celtic Folk Rock band that we have followed for years. Great gig, went down a storm.
At risk of upsetting some people, their belting foot tapping composition "The Orange* Man Cometh" is well worth checking out. Canada and Greenland get a mention. Time to be glad for what freedoms we still have left.
It is available to stream on the usual channels, the last line of the refrain will stick with you folks. PM me if you have any (political) thoughts... to comply with accepted Forum Rules. They will most likely not be the sort of comments for the open forum!

Used to love going to pub folk rock gigs in Stafford in my younger biker days. Plenty of beer, maybe a (ahem) puff or two on some special tobacco, fantastic nights. *good3*

I used to go to lots of gigs in the 70's, 80's and 90's mainly though still go to the occasional gig if it's local to me. In the last couple of years or so i've seen Fairport Convention at the local Lyceum Theatre aswell as Steeleye Span there too. Next May i've got tickets for Jethro Tull at the Victoria Hall in Hanley and the price wasn't too bad at £54 a ticket *eek* and was thinking of going to see Eric Clapton but at £134 a go it's too steep for me considering i saw him and his band with Ronnie Lanes Slim Chance at the Vicky in 78/79 for £2.50.

Went to see Jethro Tull last Saturday night at the Victoria Hall, Hanley, S-O-T. They were pretty good and Ian Anderson has put together a new band with none of the old members. I bought their new album a few months back and wasn't expecting it to be good but was quite surprised. The nice thing about the Vicky is that it's a small venue with only a 1400 seat capacity, so you get quite an intimate show. I've seen loads of bands over the years there and apparently the venue has got some of the best acoustics in the country.
