Hi I'm a newbie to the site so I hope my post is OK
My name is Phill. and I live in South Wales GB.
Where can I get new columns / bushes e.t.c. for the plungers on my 1952 A10, as mine are shot,
I purchased this bike as a project 20 years ago, I'm now retired, so time to start it, there seems a
lot of expertise on this site so I hope someone can help, look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Phil,
keep a look out on ebay - when I rebuilt my plunger I was only needing the centre columns and springs, but managed to get the entire lot (chrome and painted covers, the sliders, columns and springs at a very reasonable price. you never know what's out there!
Draganfly seems to have a reasonable collection of new parts:

Good luck with the project,
John

Most parts except the wheel holders for the plunger suspension are readily available from most of the usual dealers, and of good quality. For that, be prepared as they are expensive...
This is where I got mine;

Luckily my shafts, bushes and springs where still ok so I only needed the bottom and top covers.

It's worth getting stainless spring covers. I fitted chromed steel ones but they rusted through from the inside within half a dozen years. Apart from the cosmetic aspect, the holes allowed grease to be shot onto the back tyre.
-
Ted, I share your view; using stainless is best for the long term.
I need a set for a B31; can anyone recommend a supplier?
Thanks,
Richard

Often worth giving C and D Autos (01564 795000, Henley in Arden) a call. They surprised me recently with stock of valve pushrods in steel tube and also with the very reasonable price of a rear brake pedal return spring.

I assessed the purchase price plus shipping and decided to use 1" hardchrome bar for the bit that escapes my description just now, but yea know what i mean, and sourced some Thick wall ((maybe 3mm) 1,3/8" stainless tube and paid my mate to make bushes for it

Hi Thanks for the quick reply from you all, will check out the two websites posted and let you know,
C&D Autos haven't been able to get columns or sliders/bushes for some time

...Just ordered all the plunger parts from Draganfly
I bought most of the bits for my Plunger rebuild from them. They were mostly excellent and were willing to refund a couple of hundred pounds worth of returned stuff that was surplus or incorrectly supplied. *smile*
