Title: K&N Air filter on PLunger A10
Post by: Greybeard on 12.04. 2015 15:26
Now the salt has gone, (fingers crossed) I've been fettling my old girl to get her ready for the road. I needed to change the oil tank that has been seeping oil since I restored the bike. While I had the air filter removed I cleaned the K&N element that I adapted for the machine. I photographed the filter in case anyone is interested in the same mod. The filter is made for the BSA/Trumph triples. It needs to be cut to size. The filter is reusable after cleaning with K&Ns special fluid so should last forever.

Nice solution, have been wondering how to tackle this on a mates flash and this ticks all the boxes!

Hey Greybeard,
Great minds think alike; I have also done exactly the same thing - works out very well.

It wasn't my idea; I saw it online somewhere. I still have the rest of the filter, (more than you need for this) if anyone would like to have it; let me know.

We have a lot of gravel roads and my mates flash will be up in the far north so having a spare filter and a decent filter worth its weight in something... Certainly prolongs valve guide life keeping the dust out.
Hope to have his Flash motoring smoothly very soon
