Yeah - I'm using the Goffy version.

Word of warning; it doesn't light up at all when the battery gets too low i.e. after lengthy storage. Don't go looking for a wiring fault at that point.

I use a Paul Goff one too. It works just fine, and is very easy to fit it is a straight swap just remove the existing conventional bulb and fit the LED lamp unit in its place. Just like replacing a bulb, which is what you are actually doing. I have been using this for several years with no problems.

Thanks for that tip

John. I've got the same type as you. bought about the same time . First one arrived and was dud but Paul changed it and it's been great since . Gong to get one of those LED h/light bulbs for next year as well. A mate riding behind me one evening this year commented how bright it was .Bob

Bob, all my lamps are now LED. Headlamp, parking lamp, speedo, rev counter, and tail light. Never see the ammeter pointer move now unless I blip the throttle!

LEDs on the A7, (6volt) so far is the pilot and speedo bulbs, I am looking at this for the stop and tail http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181831782812?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181831782812?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT). The headlight will have to wait as per a previous post had trouble actual seeing with any bulb (have lots of spares for the A10) but purchased a higher wattage one recommended here and I can now ride in the dark.

Think I've said before - I also use an LED pilot light, but a Zenon (still on 6v) headlight bulb. Both also from Goffy. Headlight bulb doesn't work well with my lens unit - think it's a Wipac, so I'll investigate an upgrade one day.

I've left the original bulb in the speedo as I like the old world soft yellow glow that emanates from it.

The idea of not seeing my ammeter go into free fall when the h/light goes on and the rev's drop is great and definitely the headlight gets changed ,thanks john and Angus .

Still running a magneto and really not doing very much night riding I'm pretty much indifferent to the meandering and twitching of the ammeter. But we don't want to get round to that line of conversation again I'm sure.
