I was searching the net last night for that. I often stuff up the time/date difference. Now hoping someone records it and posts on youtube.
Cheers

It was entertaining. His best speed, (world record) was on a BSA engined home built bike! I hope you all get a chance to view the programme. Don't worry if you can't understand what he's saying; neither can I!.

He's a bit of a character
Saw him some time ago on "The One Show", didn't know whether to condemn him or admire for appearing on the show with very busy mechanics finger nails, looked like he been digging out a big sludge trap with them *smiley4*

He's a truck mechanic so I'm sure you are right

From reputation a pretty good truck mechanic/engineer , saw him helping to restore a spitfire a while back and one of the full time engineers wanted a wing pin turning down "to an exact fit" ,it had to fit through the joint ,wing to fuselage without force or loose  ,when finished they were impressed with his work, however, the pin wouldn't fit , it had to be placed in a freezer and then slid in, the  temp in the hangar had been enough to expand the pin.
I read about this wall of death record in his book "when you dead you dead " but missed it  on TV. I agree with GB his voice is weird but......

I remember seeing the Wall of Death people Guy trained with a few years ago at Remstone Steam Rally. After the show the owner/rider sa me looking at the Indian he had been riding and asked me if I knew anything about bike engines. When I answered in the afirmative he asked if I could have a look at it as it wanlt runnimg right. I declined, not wanting to be responsibe if it died hile he was speeding round the top of the wall. But his trust in a stranger was refreshing *smile*

Anyway, I thought the TV progarmme was entertaining. Pity Guy had to get the record on a 'modern' though ;)

Don't understand your comment;  the highest speed he attained was on his homebuild with a BSA triple lump

If you ever get the chance to ride a forty + year old BSA group triple its pretty obvious they aren't a modern in any sense of the word. (the first ones came out within 5 years of the A10 ceasing production so getting close to 50 years old now)

I love mine  *loveit*  but it has all the "character"  *shh* of any sixties machine  and is pretty crude if you hop off anything made in the last 25 years.

Its not a bike you ignore carrying a full toolkit anywhere  *whistle*

Where it might be arguably modern; is that its extremely complicated to work on compared to an A10, with three 626 concentrics to synchronise, an additional layer of engine cases  *pull hair out* A motor that needs to be well assembled to be reliable and capable of magic when it is.

I've retrofitted mine with a T160 electric leg and boy were the lads at last weekend beesa run jealous
Modern though? I don't think so.

You have to have a sense of humour to own BSA's, even those modern ones!

Just to make a point it isnt, my R3 ignition packed up during the week leaving me stuck by the motorway  *sad2* Yep still cursed with lucas electrics which fried my boyer.
