Title: Rigid 1947 BSA A7 Headlamp part numbers with images
Post by: cardoso1 on 11.07. 2016 19:38
Hi, i´m looking for a glass, reflector and bulb holders reference part numbers for the headlamp found on a rigid 1947 BSA A7.

Question is i can´t figure which model is it, if its a DU142 or a MU142 or other, because the inner rim circle measures a bit more than 18cm, so it can´t be 8 inches or less than 7.

Does it miss some kind of gasket between the rim and the glass or between the reflector and the glass?

Let me know if you can help me with this,

Regards,
José

Thank you! It´s being restored, will post some other pics later, let me know if you know who can help me. The reflector i think it can be restored, but not sure about the combination of reflector, glass and rim that should be used, as i dont know the rim, reflector PN´s in the pics. The headlamp box was already restored but cant find any reference

Regards,

The Lucas parts lists for the year(s) 47/48 says the unit should be model MU142, part # 50212D if it's any help. But it doesn't help much on the measurements or 'how assembled', nor for the purposes of proper identification of what you have unfortunately.

I would guess that catalog is from 1957? Simply because I saw nothing newer listed, but only looked down to Cotton...
