There was a post on the board recently where somebody was recommending a highly-regarded engineering firm in the Midlands. I can't find the post any more, maybe somebody can help me out. The firm was widely used and maybe in the south midlands? Kegworth M1 / M6 junction area? Thanks

Would that be T&L Engineering in Elstow, near Beds Andrew? Here's a link again: http://www.vintage-engine.net/ - on 01234 352418
Cheers.

Hi Groily, Yes, I think that was it but can't be 100% sure so if anybody knows anybody else in that area please post. Thanks.

sounds like SEP of Kegworth J25 off the m1
i`ve used them for my suzuki x7 restoration crankshaft bearings and seals also a rebore . Not used them for my BSA yet ,but talking to the guys there they seem to know what they are talking about ,and when i asked about a rebore of my a7 and may be new liners he called it modern stuff !. So i guess they do a lot of real vintage engines.
The place does look like chaos when you go to the counter and you can see all the way back in to the workshop....but in a good way !

Thanks. I think that completes the set of the two firms I have heard of in that area! Many thanks

bit out of area but Rob Walker Engineering near witney in oxfordshire is very good, he has done the crank and barrels for my shooting star, only a small firm but highly recommended .

Hello Andrew - T&L did a good job for me, based on the 1000 or so miles I've ridden the bike since Derrick(spelling?) rebuilt the bottom end (strip, cleaning, machining, balancing, reassembly) and rebored the barrels (supply and fit parts inc. pistons, ex-Draganfly). I can't comment on the other recommendations above.
Hope you're well, by the way.
