Title: Spokes for single sided brake
Post by: Getdownbeezer on 26.11. 2016 14:49
hi everyone. i bought some ss wassel spokes for single sided hub and they are all wrong. the long spokes are half inch too long and the short spokes angle is too short which means they poke out and need to be bent in to reach the centre of the rim. can anyone recomend decent spokes that fit this hub? tia

Thanks very much.  Are Wassell generally rubbish?

Wassell has its place, but I don't think it is in critical ride-safety components. I really only know of two manufacturers of spokes I would go to (bearing in mind I've had limited need): Central Wheel in the UK and Buchannan in the US.

My experience with Buchannan has been great for the same spokes that you need

I've used spokes from Devon Rim. They were good.

Thanks Trev, i just googled them and they are selling the exact same spoke set in their ebay shop for £15 less than their web site. i think i'll go for the discounted ebay ones, they look identical.
