Title: Inspection cover screws
Post by: RoyC on 24.04. 2017 08:43
I searched the net for screws to fit the gearbox inspection cover (1/4 cei x 7/16 No 24-7178) and the only ones that I can find are from USA (Too much postage).
I looked through the screws that I already have and 1/4 BSF look very close.
Are they close enough to use ?.

I'm using BSF Socket caps that I bought before I knew better, and work fine- I believe the only difference is the 55º/60º thread angle

others are also possible - often called clutch adjustment cover screws, I've bought them so they're out there

I just received this set from Stig fasteners ,UK. Haven't used any of it yet but it looks good. Price was reasonable

All sorted.
Andrew, of Priory Magnetos, put two in the post to me, when they arrived I called him up to thank & pay him and he said " Happy to help, NO CHARGE".
Once again Andrew, a big thank you.
