Title: Tool box brackets
Post by: Russ on 06.09. 2017 06:45
Parts book shows my 51 A10 plunger has the tool box attached at the top, to the frame, by a "P" clip. Are all frames the same or do some have a bracket fitted to attach the tool box.
I was thinking of welding a bracket to the frame to suit. Has anyone done this? or would I be creating unforseen problems for myself.

G'day Russ.
It would be easy enough to make a P clip out of a bit of strapping or tin plate. 1" wide 18 gauge.
Better than welding to a good frame.
Cheers

Easy enough to make up. A vice, a round bar of steel from approximately the frame tube diameter, a strip of steel and a hammer is all you need.

Electrical conduit clips might work at least as a prototype ?
