Hi all
My A10 weeps a little oil from the gear lever shaft. Not a huge amount, but enough to make me want to fix it. Has anyone fitted a seal of any kind? I'm happy to find my own solution, but I'd love to hear of anyone's experiences in fixing this.
I've ordered a Nova 5 speed 'box, so would like to look to fix this when I fit it. (I like making mods 😁)

You may have excessive clearance between the selector shaft and the bush.
It helps to fit a breather to the gearbox; this can stop leaks from the shaft bushes.

This one was machined to accept an O ring.

Some good ideas there - thanks. So breather, new bush and O ring it is! I'll report back when its all done :-)

So, t20- how'd you get on with that ? I'm searching for the photo that (I'm sure) Orabanda posted for the location of his breather behind the Kick 'quadrant' (~thirdrant *conf*)...
I went to a bike shop and bought the little breather thing a while ago (they had to order it in, but better than paying unnecessary postage), and unexpectedly have the cover off now so now dealing with it...

I can't remember from the rebuild, but found that mine has been done also- maybe I did it back in the first build *dunno*, seems to need a ??mm x??mm 'O' ring *conf2* -I'll be back on that... *beer*
