Hope you Gents don't mind me posting this. My other passion as well as BSA's ( wash my mouth out ! ) is RAF fighter command and this one picture as most of my heroes on ,that's a word banded about for nowt  these days ,these  guys were the real deal !

left to right Johnny Kent , Peter Townsend ,Bob Stanford Tuck ,ignore guy in braid , Al Deere and last Douglas Bader

Just watched 'the history of the Spitfire' on tv the other day. Great.

 My friends dad was playing golf at St Andrews in the sixties and his group were getting held up by the group in front, my friends dad was getting slightly annoyed and to add to this one of the players in front was using walking sticks!

yes you guessed it Douglas Bader.

Apparently he had odd length legs made up to cure a slice.

(Sounds like I'm attempting a joke but I'm not).
