Title: What mileage do you get from your Avon SM and Speedmaster tyres?
Post by: Greybeard on 30.05. 2018 13:53
I'm interested to hear what mileage you get from your Avon SM and Speedmaster tyres, (tires). As the mileometer is not accurate in my speedo I will use the information to estimate the mileage I've done on my bike over the last six years.

Dunno about your tyres GB, but my Chen Shins did about 3k before looking tired (geddit).  Mitas HO2's going to go the same way.  Would like to find a harder wearing rear without compromising handling too much.

I had asked a friend about this, than completely forgot I had asked him.

Now this is an iron head sportster, carefully driven. He says he gets about 3500 from the rear, but could really change it a little earlier.

I imagine all bikes are pretty close to the same unless you beat it or its just bent.

G'day GB.
I have Road Riders on both of my A's. I get about 8K on the A7 and 5K on the cafe. I'm not worried about miles just keeping my butt off the ground.
At the moment yours will last years *whistle*
Cheers
