Hi Guys
It seems when you leave the bike standing for a month or so the dynamo needs re-magnetizing.
Has anyone had this problem?
If so what is the easiest way of doing this(fed up having to remove the seat etc)
Followed the workshop manual.....

Briefly connect battery live to dynamo F. Just for an instant will do.

I think something else is wrong. Winter is more than a month here (like four or five in Chicago) and I have never had to re-flash my dynamo. Not saying I know what the actual problem is.

I had this problem with a 6v dynamo coupled with an 12v electronic regulator (can't remember the make). Seemed the residual magnetism didn't produce enough power to "kick in" the field coil unless refreshed . Made my own unit and the problem diappeared, so a change of regulator may help.
