Title: Allen Milyard is a clever chap
Post by: Greybeard on 02.01. 2019 11:12
From Facebook's British Motorcycle Mechanics.

Allen Milyard is some kind of motorcycle wizard.

'Here is my  FM 5.0 litre V Twin crankshaft that I made in 2012. It weighs in at 107 lbs complete, is 8” wide across the webs and 11.5” diameter with a 5.75” stroke 🙂'

107 lb - ?

I guess it needs to be fairly substantial for a 5 litre V twin  *eek*

Not debating the genius, but that would allow the flywheel sections to be about 1.3"x12"x12" without machining or casting to shape. I can't see the aluminum rods getting to the weight.

I am soon to be pummeled for my ignorance.
