Title: B40 tank mount brackets 1965
Post by: chaz on 23.02. 2019 17:40
Hi all, been a while but the old A7 chop is still in the garage, not ridden since an accident on the Ducati I had...
my youngest has just bought his first BSA, a 1965 B40 reimported from America. needs work, obviously but the tank was replaced with a Harley one which is past it now and he has got a decent B40 on. As the previous owner has cut the tank mount brackets off he wants to replace them before frame is painted.
what he needs is the front bracket that is welded on to the frame that the rubbers sit on, so needs an idea of position, preferably with  a picture marked up he can duplicate. also the up and over  rear mount

G'day chaz.
Have a look here and download the pictures. https://www.ebay.com/itm/BSA-B40-ss90-350-B-40-ROYAL-STAR-SUPER-STAR-FRAME-1965-BS5-/322412110912
Also the drawing on the Draganfly site might help. https://www.draganfly.co.uk/index.php/bsa/bsa/b40/category/1189-frame
Cheers

Chaz,, since all these topics just got moved first I have seen your post.  If you need exact drawings and pictures,, I have a number of early BSA singles including several B40s,  (Im downsizing and trying to match up parts for them, and sell each project off)

Feel free to contact me if you still need resources or good pix.  However I will be off line for the next 3 days up in the hills,,
