Title: What is this?

1958 SR.

What is this hook on the left (primary) side of the frame?  (Besides something to cause pain when lifting onto centre stand).

Well there you go.  Might have to try and find one.

Save the effort. Along with the damper rod, oil cap and fuel filler cap, these pumps are the first things to get nicked, despite being a bit useless for inflating a rear tyre to 28psi.   Check that tail light lens as well..... Sadly a sign of the times.

 Swarfy.

Never had one nicked - but mine has a Halfords logo prominently displayed - as well as a fair bit of road muck. Must put people off. 200 vigorous strokes to 20 psi. :o

Thought all old bikes had them pumps. You must be a young Uncle.  *smile*
