Title: dismantling Plunger suspension units
Post by: Guy Wilson on 15.04. 2019 14:38
I'm trying to remove the plunger units from a BSA B33 frame -  they are the same units as the A10 plunger hence my post here, so please forgive its not 100% A10 / A7 ....

one side came off as per the book....the other one is expanding my non specific vocabulary...

I think the internal rod )part number 67-4134 on the attached diagram)  is stuck on the internal of the tube that holds the wheel bracket. (part number 67-4125) I'm guessing as it has to be knocked up that the lower end of the tube has rust and won't go though now... I've removed all the pinch bolts and done exactly as I had with the other side which came out easily..

Q: How best to get this thing out now? would the tube knock out from the bottom?

so..by thinking, writing  and not swear swearing, I've answered my own question.. The tube will and has come out from the bottom and the both units are off the frame...
